KY Asia in the beginning

Sunder Singh Khalsa has taught Kundalini Yoga and meditation for the past 30 years and is known for his gift in facilitating the potential for authentic transformations.  He is on the KRI Teacher Training Executive Council.  He brought the first Yoga Festival to SE Asia, an annual event in Thailand, and has served the emergence of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® in Thailand, China, Cambodia, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia and Sri Lanka.  In 2009 he received KRI Honors for his devoted service to the emergence of the teachings of Kundalini Yoga.  His given name is Tzu Ping, which in Chinese means compassionate peace.
Suraj Kaur Khalsa has a background in Medicine, healing and meditation.  She is a KRI Teacher Trainer and Conscious Pregnancy Trainer, and one of the lead trainers on the KY Asia regional team.  She teaches in China, Taiwan, Australia and Israel as well as other parts of Asia.  Suraj means Sun, Beam of Light.  Her light reflects her deep love of the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and her belief that they can help humanity to heal.  She serves as the Asia representative on the Global Teachers Council and is the Coordinator for the 3HO KY Asia Festival.
Tonie Nooyens is a long time practitioner in different traditions of meditation, meditational yoga and healing. He is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and one of the lead trainers on the KY Asia Teacher Training Program. He travels extensively throughout Asia. Since January 2007 he has been living and teaching in Cambodia – facilitating a Yoga and Meditation training program for Cambodians. The program includes activities for local communities and vulnerable groups in which yoga and meditation techniques are used for relief of stress and trauma, as well as for communication and personal capacity training.
Tien Nghia Nguyen was born in Vietnam and first introduced to Yoga in Pakistan.  She is versed in many schools of yoga, Iyengar, Ananda Marga, Kaivalayadham, as well as Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.  She completed KRI Level 1 Teacher Certification Program in 2002 with Sunder Singh Khalsa, her mentor.  She is a Certified professional Trainer, member of the Teacher Training Group of KY Asia Level 1 Teacher Certification Programs (TCP-in Australia-Sydney, China, Indonesia, Israel and mainly in Thailand); and now manages the Level Teacher Training Program in Thailand.  She has a broad depth of knowledge and a love of the technology of Kundalini Yoga.
Satya Khalsa has been a Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher since 2003.  She was introduced to the technology by Teacher, Sunder Khalsa. She is a professional trainer in the KRIAsia Level 1 Teacher Certification Program in Thailand. Her studies of ‘the mind’ and how it works, started more than 40 years ago with Eastern Philosophy, and is ongoing with Kundalini Yoga. As part of a SEVA program she has taught Kundalini Yoga to recovering drug addicts in a local hospital in Bangkok. She serves as an administrator Kundalini Yoga Asia and manages its website.  Her mission is to serve with gratitude, and joy!
Kirti (Christine Plaud) is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and one of the regional Level 1 professional trainers involved in the Level 1 teacher training program in Asia. She started teaching Kundalini yoga in 2003. She is also a practitioner in the healing technique called The Bodytalk System as well as trained therapist in Ayurvedic, Thai and Chinese acupressure massages.Born in France, she studied Asian civilization with Mandarin, Thai and Burmese languages at the Paris Oriental Institute. She is leaving in Asia for the past 20 years. After 10 years in corporate world, mainly in recruitment and career management roles, she started her own company Inner Keys, Pte Ltd in 2005 in Singapore where she is based. She runs programs between Singapore, France and Thailand.
